Friday's Favorite Findings-Christmas Ornaments

Image
This Friday's Findings is about Christmas Ornaments.  Most of these you can DIY yourself. If you are like me I have tons of ornaments my daughter made when she was a little kid in elementary school. Yes, I saved them all. However, here are some ideas of ornaments to make for your Christmas Tree. #1   Christmas Wreath Ornaments #2   Knitted Christmas Ornaments P.S. I would take old sweaters or scraps and cut them into trees and decorate. This would be lovely to hang upon the tree. #3  Rustic Twig Christmas Tree Ornaments Hope you enjoy your holiday making for your home.  Thanks for reading. Melissa @MABToys

How To Thursday: Yummy Recipes Easy Homemade Chili

Who doesn't love Chili? Believe it or not there are people out there that do not like chili. I can't believe it, but there are. I make it homemade. I cannot buy it in the store anymore. My family just loves what I do to my chili. So I will be nice and share it with all of my friends.  Here is the recipe. You can crock pot it or cook it over the stove. Crock pot takes about anywhere from 4 hours on high to 8 hours on low. Stove top can take 30 minutes. For stove top gather your ingredients Ingredients: 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey 2 cans of red kidney beans 1 can of black beans 1 can of tomato sauce (you can add to this if needed) 2 cans of diced tomatoes 1 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped green onions 2 packs of McCormick Chili Season Packets Brown your beef in a pan when finished add to stock pot. How To Thursday-How to Fight Sciatica Nerve Pain during Pregnancy

Image
I have to say we are so blessed to be able to access the internet and find a world of information at our fingertips. This pregnancy with baby no. 2 is really taking a wonderful toll on my body. I am having a few other problems this time around than I did with my first daughter. Do I regret them...NO. I am just taking it day by day.  I have been dealing with a lot of sciatica nerve pain in my body. Mostly on the left side. It makes it so difficult to work at my job and take care of everyday common duties I have around the house. It also interferes with my fun time with my family. I am tired of suffering, and I know there are some other moms out there that agree.  You can take medications to help, but if you are like me you don't want to with fear of harming the unborn child. So since I love yoga and stretching so much I searched the internet one night (one of those sleepless nights that put me in a lot of pain) for stretches or yoga moves that help with this problem. I foun...

Creating a Space For Lauren-Taking baby steps until she comes home.

Image
As you all might know my husband and I are having a child. We are having a little girl, and very excited. This is the first part of our home project series to prepare for the delivery of our youngest daughter. So getting ready for her has been a chore because the other children in our family are a lot older. Yes, we are starting over, and it's not easy. So we hate to admit that we are a little bit out of practice of what there is to do to get ready for a baby. James and I have decided to decorate her room and we want to include you all in on it. I really went through Pinterest for ideas for months and so did he. We finally settled on an idea that fits the both of us and also is not too girly but not too manly of colors. I think she will love it as she grows up. You can also follow my baby and pregnancy boards on pinterest. Baby Ideas Pregnancy Help This is the color scheme we agreed on for the paint. Then I found some other ideas that just fit perfectly and ...

Changing the name.

Image
Fall is the season for change. The leaves change, clothes change, and to be honest so much stuff changes. I am enjoying our fall weather we are having. I am ready for a change. And..... Yea I did it again. I changed the name of the shop. I did it this time because it is more relevant to what I am doing. M.A.B Toys can be found in the same place on Etsy.  http://MABToys.etsy.com  I will just have toys listed there. Also there will be a shop separately for MAB STYLE which will include the hats, scarves, shawls, clothing items, and accessories. I am working on that one and hope to have it up and running very soon. Hang in there with me. Psst....I will let you in on another secret.....I will be starting a new line called MAB BABY. Yea keep your eyes open. This one I am excited about. Especially since we have our new baby on the way. Parents stay tuned. Cuteness is on its way. Change is good. Also I am learning so much from Etsy Success. It is really helping me to r...

Some new items to check out

Image
There are new items in the Etsy shop I have online. I am making new items to sell and going outside the yarn box a little and making some cheerful mugs. Just like the one in the above photo it is like a little reminder to "give grace." Just some sweet words to start the day off with a hot cup of coffee or tea. This one is a little toy truck that I made for a customer who is expecting her new son in October. It was an idea from her and she was excited when I sent her the photos. Even more when she received the toy in the mail. She also ordered the green tractor too. I believe once that little boy gets old enough to play with those toys he will be very happy. This little guy is brand new to the plushy animal family I have created in my Etsy store . He is a crochet kitty cat made with black and white yarn and comes with a crochet red heart on it's tummy. Loves to be cuddled and needs a good home. Also this item can be customized in colors. Even message...

Monday-Yoga to Get You Started

Image
Get on the mat. It is just that simple huh?      No, sometimes it is hard. I love yoga, and I really love to practice. Even if I only get five to ten minutes of yoga stretching in a day I can at least say I tried. I don't necessary have to roll out the mat. I do some stretches in bed as well. Some just like these. I have found that over the years that yoga has really helped me. It has increased flexibility and strength. Also it has helped me with my aches and pains. Not to mention it also helps me reduce stress. I know I can use a whole lot of that.  Here are some reasons to do yoga. I hope you get to get on your mat today.  Follow me on pinterest to see the many ideas you can follow to learn more about yoga and its benefits.

Sunday's Yummy Recipe-Crock Pot Chicken and Stuffing Recipe

Image
I really love this recipe . It was so good and my family really liked it and has been asking me to make it again. You can cook it in a crock pot and by the time you come home from work, church, or other activities at the end of the day you have dinner served. Just serve it with a side of roasted broccoli or carrots and you have a meal.  Check out my pinterest board here for other one pot meal ideas.

Thursday Post From Sam & Toby

Image
For valentines day my daughter received many small boxes of chocolates from her boyfriend. Our cat Sam saw one of the boxes sitting on the coffee table. She scooted the box that close to her and wold not let me touch it. It was her box and no one else could have it. For those who do not know Sam is the one who loves to get in boxes and just sit. If it fits I sits! She also likes to look FABULOUS for her photos . My cat Toby loves to get up close and personal with you. He cannot see very well so he gets up in your face nuzzels your nose and then head boops you. That is his way of telling you that he likes you a lot. Other than that if you cannot find him anywhere more than likely he is probably sitting in a bag somewhere in the house. In this photo he thought that it would be great to sit in my ThirtyOne tote bag that I use to carry groceries in the house. It can tote a Toby too.  I like to post a lot of updates and things about the cats on my Instagram p...
