How To Thursday: Posting a week early.. How to be Thankful on Thanksgiving 3 Steps to an Easier Holiday

I am posting this a week early along with my current how to for this week so you all can get ready for this holiday. So enjoy.

Once again we are here. It's Thanksgiving again and we are all sitting with our families stuffing ourselves with food and fun. To some of us it is a little stressful, and then by that time we forget what we are thankful about. Well here are some anti-stress how to's for Thanksgiving to help us get through that busy day if you are person who does all the preparing so your family can gather around.

#1:  Decorate your front door and front porch. Make it look welcoming for all of your guests that will be arriving.

P.S. this will look good for your home going into the Christmas Holiday as well.

#2:  Be prepared with your meal that you will be serving. Be sure to have everything you need for the dinner you will make for your family and friends. Have the main dish cooked and ready in this case which is usually Turkey or Ham. Have a variety of side items to go with it. Don't forget the desserts! When you are finished you will have your guests drooling over your dinner. Have your family help. Put the hubby to work at some of the ingredients for the food items. Get your children if old enough, to help you with desserts and other things. Family involvement creates many memories. That's what Thanksgiving traditions are all about and that is how they get started. It will keep your family chatting up those memories for years to come.
Check out some of these recipies from "Mom on time out."

I tried this recipe last year and it was so yummmmmy!

Visit my pin board "Fall" and "Thanksgiving" for more ideas of what to make for dinner and dessert.

3:  Don't forget the most important part. Spend time with your family and friends. Don't stress over silly little details. Enjoy those who have come to visit you and your loved ones and make memories.
Last year was the first year I really cooked dinner for a large group of people. We had almost ten people in our tiny little apartment. You might think, "just ten?" That is a lot compared to years past. It usually was just my daughter, my brother, and me along with my two cats. Now that I am married and my brother got married. we have a lot more plus others because the kids are grown and they bring friends and loved ones of their own. So chill out and make some memories with those all around you. Remember, it's supposed to be fun.

Be thankful, have a happy Thanksgiving. Many Blessings to you and your family.
