How To Thursday: Yummy Recipes Easy Homemade Chili

Who doesn't love Chili? Believe it or not there are people out there that do not like chili. I can't believe it, but there are. I make it homemade. I cannot buy it in the store anymore. My family just loves what I do to my chili. So I will be nice and share it with all of my friends.

Here is the recipe.
You can crock pot it or cook it over the stove.
Crock pot takes about anywhere from 4 hours on high to 8 hours on low.
Stove top can take 30 minutes.

For stove top gather your ingredients
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
2 cans of red kidney beans
1 can of black beans
1 can of tomato sauce (you can add to this if needed)
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 packs of McCormick Chili Season Packets

Brown your beef in a pan when finished add to stock pot. Add beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, onions, and seasoning. Do not drain the liquid from the cans. Mix all together and cover with a lid. Let cook for about 15 minutes until done to your taste.
Serve with shredded cheese and with crackers. Enjoy!

Crock pot method:
You can use the same recipe above. Cook on low for 4 hours. Or substitute the beans for dried beans. In this case cook your beans by themselves in the pot on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Add water to the crock pot and cover with lid. When the beans are finished add the rest of the chili ingredients to the crock pot in the last hour and stir to mix all together. Cook for at least 30 more min or an hour then serve.

This is an easy way to get dinner on the table fast. If you work the hard part will be done and ready for you by the time you arrive home. Then all you have to do is eat. My family loves this chili and you can get creative too. Add some different kind of beans to your soup or stewed tomatoes instead of diced. I love mixing this recipe up.

I wish you all the best. Bon appetite!
